NEWTOWNARDS HOSTS LECTURERS' CONFERENCE No.4 District played host to the 45th annual County Down Lecturers' Conference on 13th October 2007. Lecturers from across the 19 District Lodges took up invitations to attend the conference and see the Orange & Purple degrees performed by the Newtownards District Lecturer and his team. The exemplification of both degrees was warmly received by the County & Grand Lecturers, as well as from other attendees. District Lecturer Bro. Andrew Pyper led a team of five Orange & Purple Lecturers Bros Brian Mayne, Thompson Paden, Andrew McCullough and Harold McVeigh, al of whom had perfected their degrees over the past three weeks ahead of the conference. Thanks is extended to the brethren Newtownards, including District Master Colin Campbell, who lent their support and assistance during the day. Next year the conference moves to Saintfield.
