PAST DISTRICT MASTERS' PORTRAIT UNVEILING The brethren of Newtownards District gathered in the last week of March to honour three of it's most respected Past District Masters. Worshipful Brothers Elliot Young, James Boal and William McIlroy served as the three immediate Past Masters of the Newtownards District during the period 1982 to 2003. The dedication ceremony took place on Friday 30th March, attended by the extended families of the three late brethren. The portraits were commissioned over a year ago with local artist Brian Jamison, who attended the event, producing an end product of which all involved were proud of. The decision to produce these portraits found strong favour with the local private Lodges, who contributed enthusiastically towards their cost. The dedication was carried out by Pastor Roy Graham, a former District Chaplain and the portraits will hang in the William Boal Room of Newtownards Orange Hall, across from the painting of the late, great William Boal.
